AT Collections – Speech Development and Changes Across the Lifespan

Considering how hard it is to learn a foreign language (at least for most people), it is remarkable how infants learn to understand speech and coordinate many different muscles and body parts to produce speech.  Through the years of childhood, speech motor control is continuously adapted to changing physiology.  Speech starts to change as we grow older.  These issues are discussed in this collection.
