  Cover: To meet the need for quieter and more efficient air-moving and hydraulic machinery, the Applied Research Laboratory built an air-breathing flow-through anechoic chamber. Its design was based on specifications set by acousticians and hydrodynamicists at the Lab, and on experience and recommendations of managers of nine other large-volume chambers.
