Usually, a print-copy of a magazine does not contain articles that require multimedia material such as audio and/or video clips and that is true of this issue of Acoustics Today. Yet, if an article can be enhanced by the addition of that material, why not provide it. In this issue are two articles that may be read as stand-alone—one by Tim Leighton and Andi Petculescu and one by China Blue. Please read the articles as they appear in the magazine. Tim and Andi’s describe Earth sounds as they might be heard on Mars, Titan, and Venus. China’s describes sounds that her team recorded at the Eiffel Tower and how they were used in “sound art.” If, after reading the article you wish to enhance your reading experience, follow the directions in the articles to download the multimedia materi- al to your computer, pick up the print-copy and read it again with “mouse-in-hand.”
