  Douglas H. Keefe received an A.B. degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Illinois Institute of Technology and Case Western Reserve University, respectively. After work on acoustics and vibration consulting and research on respiratory physiology, Doug performed musical acoustics and hearing research at the University of Washington. He is a Senior Research Scientist at Boys Town National Research Hospital, where he has worked in the Center for Hearing Research since 1995. His research concerns basic and translational clinical research on middle-ear and cochlear function. Technology trans- ferred from research contributes to commercial development of new hearing screening and diagnos- tic devices. He is a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America and has chaired its Technical Committee on Musical Acoustics.
