Warren Blazier
1923–2011
In memory of Warren Blazier, about 25 friends, family, and associates gath- ered at Harrington’s Bar and Grill in San Francisco on Friday 14 September 2012 to remember Warren in a special way.
Attendees included those who worked with Warren in the original Bolt Beranek and Newman (BBN) San Francisco office in the mid 1960’s. Many others worked with Warren professionally in some form or another. Attendees came from as far away as Seattle, Missouri, and Chicago, as well as, Southern California.

There was the touching story of one of the BBN staff who told of how Warren would always support him in what he did, technically and politically. There were many testimonials of Warren’s never ending men- toring. There were even sto- ries of Warren’s debonair attributes as a man-about- town, impressing the ladies as he always remembered to bring flowers to the homes of those who invited him to dinner; and even some sto- ries from extended family members who told of Warren’s military duty as a bombardier, and his accom- plished piano playing.
