Walter Munk – 75 Years in Oceanography
of California, San Diego (1977). He has been a Research Oceanographer at Scripps since receiving his PhD. His pri- mary research interests are acoustical oceanography and un- derwater acoustics. Dr. Worcester is the recipient of the 2006 Walter Munk Award for Distinguished Research in Ocean- ography Related to Sound and the Sea. He is a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
