Enda Murphy is professor of planning at the School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy at University College Dublin, Ireland, where he is also vice principal for graduate studies in the College of Social Sciences and Law. Enda’s research interests center on envi-
ronmental noise modeling, mapping, and noise-health rela- tionships. He was technical advisor for the European Com- mission’s Towards a Comprehensive Noise Strategy and was scientific advisor on the recent Future Brief: Noise Abate- ment Approaches produced for the European Commission Directorate-General for Environment. He is coauthor of Environmental Noise Pollution: Noise Mapping, Public Health and Policy (Elsevier) and is a former Fulbright Scholar.
