Thomas B. Gabrielson is a Senior Scientist and Professor of Acoustics at Penn State University. Tom received a Ph.D. in Acoustics with research on the effects of turbulence on the refractive focusing of infrasound in the atmosphere. His cur- rent research concerns the design and development of low- noise transducers, the development of calibration techniques for very-low-frequency transducers, and the development of techniques for measuring acoustic shocks.
