SincetheinceptionoftheAcousticalSocietyofAmerica(ASA) in 1929, its publications have been a backbone of the Society. Over the years, these publications have expanded from the flagship The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America (JASA; see asa.scitation.org/journal/jas) to include JASA Express Let- ters (see asa.scitation.org/journal/jel), Proceedings of Meetings on Acoustics (POMA; see asa.scitation.org/journal/pma), and
Acoustics Today (AT; see acousticstoday.org). A few others (like Sound: Its Uses and Control, see asa.scitation.org/journal/sou; Noise Control; see asa.scitation.org/journal/noc; Acoustics Research Letters Online, see asa.scitation.org/journal/arl; and Echoes Newsletter) have come and gone.
Although most ASA members are familiar with our pub- lications, whether keeping up with the latest research in JASA, JASA Express Letters, and POMA or just learning about the breadth of acoustics and about ASA in AT, they may not be familiar with the people behind the scenes who help keep the publications running from day to day. Thus, AT editor Arthur Popper invited the staff of ASA Publica- tions to introduce themselves to the ASA membership. If you always wondered who you were e-mailing with about your recent article submission or queries about the publi- cations, read on! And, because all of the staff attend ASA meetings, please feel free, now that you will know more about our group, to come up and chat with us.

JASA Express Letters
Manuscript Manager
I have been a manuscript manager since 2002, first with Acoustics Research Letters Online, which then morphed
into JASA Express Letters, so all together almost 18 years. Reading cutting-edge research in acoustics has always been a real privilege to me. The manuscript manager position for JASA Express Letters, has been a part-time position all these years and has allowed me to pursue other career opportunities in academia. Currently, I am a senior program manager at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT; Cambridge) with Project Manus (see project-manus.mit.edu), and I specifically run the Make Impact Consortium (see makeimpactconsortium.com), which provides tangible resources to speed the integration of technology, innovation, making, and entrepreneurship within universities and the technology innovation systems that surround them. I also have been teaching Finnish at Harvard University (Cambridge, MA) since 2013, which has been a wonderful way for me to share my love and enthusiasm for my native tongue.
