AT Collections – Anthropogenic Sound & Animals
Just as human generated (anthropogenic) sound can affect the health and behavior of humans, anthropogenic sounds can affect the lives of other species from insects to mammals. The potential effects include impairment of detection of sound by other animals, physiological changes such as hormonal changes, and changes in behavior because of the presence of anthropogenic sounds in an animals normal habitat.
