Marina Salorio-Corbetto is a research associate at the SOUND Laboratory, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, United Kingdom, and a specialist research audiologist at the Emmeline Centre for Hearing Implants, Cambridge University Hospitals. Her PhD work in Brian Moore’s Auditory Perception Group focused on the evaluation of hearing aid signal processing for people with “dead regions” in the cochlea. Her current research focuses on cross-modal organization and audio-visual integration in cochlear-implant users. Marina is a Fellow of the British Society of Audiology and of Wolfson College, Cambridge, and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Brian C. J. Moore is Emeritus Professor of Auditory Perception at Cambridge University, Cambridge, United Kingdom. His research focuses on the psychoacoustics of normal and impaired hearing and the design and fitting of hearing aids. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society, the Academy of Medical Sciences, the Acoustical Society of America, the British Society of Audiology, and the Audio Engineering Society. He has received the Silver and Gold Medals from the Acoustical Society of America; awards from the American Academy of Audiology, the Association for Research in Otolaryngology, and the American Auditory Society; and an Honorary Doctorate from Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland.
